Please begin to consider participating in Manitoba Open Farm Day 2019.  We will be celebrating the Tenth Anniversary of Open Farm Day.  Check back in January 2019 to register your Host Site. Check out the Manitoba Open Farm Day Facebook page to see various Host Sites that have taken part.

In 2015, the 37 Host Sites that participated in Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies Open Farm Day attracted more than 5400visitors. There were 44 Host Sites in 2016 with 6500 visitors, 46 host sites in 2017 with over 7200 visitors and 41 host sites in 2018 with 6200 visitors.  Each year, farm sites with livestock, grain, and fruit or vegetables can participate, as well as agri-tourism, horticultural, ag museums, agricultural societies, conservation districts and farm-focused agribusinesses take part.

Farmers and other members of the agriculture industry are encouraged to participate in Open Farm Day to share information about the diversity and importance of Manitoba’s farms. Open Farm Day is your opportunity to showcase how today’s farms are managed and the positive impact of agriculture on our communities. It’s also a chance for farmers and others with farm-based businesses to reach new customers, and potentially create opportunities for economic growth and diversification.
